On the occasion of International Youth Day
The Armenian Young Women’s Association has congratulated all the young people on their day and has reminded that “the future of our country is in the hands of our young people.”
“Dear youth
On December 17 in 1999 the General Assembly of the UNO accepted a resolution proclaiming 12 August as International Youth Day which was adopted by the first session of the World Conference of Ministers Responsible for Youth, which was hosted by the Government of Portugal in cooperation with the United Nations (Lisbon, 8-12 August 1998). This year the international youth theme is “Our challenges, our future”, - noted Lilit Asatryan, the president of Armenian Young Women’s Association.
