Confirmed or not swine-flu in Armenia: see in a month
“At the request of the World Health Organization, at least 10 swine-flu-related cases must be confirmed by a laboratory assistant based in London,” said at today’s press-conference Armenia’s Minister of Health Harutyun Kushkyan referring to the three cases of swine-flu that have been registered in Armenia. Minister said that the laboratory will provide results of testing in a month.
Minister told journalists that the first swine-flu case was registered and confirmed when an Iranian citizen applied to of one of Armenia’s hospitals and was transported to the infectious diseases hospital. Meanwhile, the Iranian has already checked out and left for Iran, Harutyun Kushkyan said.
The necessity to receive a medical report on finally laboratory doesn’t mean that Armenia has no medical equipment. It is just because of fixed rule of additional studies for more clean-cut results, said Minister.
Two patients with identified cases of symptoms of swine flu came to Armenia from Ukraine and are now in hospital under the supervision of doctors.
