WB provides Georgia with $58 million for road restoring
The World Bank provides Georgia with $58 million for two road rehabilitation projects, media outlets report.
Georgia’s Minister for Regional Development David Tkeshelashvili said that $30 million are directed to the building of a new Tbilisi-Gombori-Telavi road in the East of Georgia, while $28 million are directed for the reconstruction of Rikotsky Passage which link central and western sides of Georgia.
“Construction works on Gombori direction have already begun and will be complete to 2010,” said minister. He also pointed that these projects will improve road links, providing better connection between local places, and will also create new jobs.
