Saakashvili: Putin is a little be up to my tie
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s jokes made of Presidents of Ukraine and Georgia are abusive, said Mikhail Saakashvili on Shuster Live air Friday evening.
“This is an insult of Ukraine to speak so about anyone. This is an insult of Russian people, to whom I have deep respect,” Saakashvili said.
All these stands from jokes made by Russian Prime Minister fresh from talks with Yulia Tymoshenko. Vladimir Putin said Saakashvili’d better meet with Ukrainian counterpart Viktor Yushchenko without wearing tie on.
“It would be better them to have dinner without wearing ties on… I mean, you never know… Ties are in great demand now, you know… Well, you see my point,” Putin made fun of Saakashvili. This double-barrelled statement has last year’s background when movies of Saakashvili on live broadcasting appeared everywhere. And yes, excited Saakashvili was chewing his tie.
Responding to this, Mikhail Saakashvili said: “Putin has promised to hang me by some parts of my body while now he is speaking about my tie. There is a good piece of news here as he is a little be up to my tie. I feel calmer.”
