Strict supervision in Sevan

In Sevan the period of fish spawn begins. It is the period when the fish thieves are more active as the water of the lake begins to freeze and the fish come closer to the shore for putting their spawns.

“We are thoroughly getting ready for fighting against the fish thieves. It is the hottest season and we will put a very strict supervision. If we do not control it now the fish stealing will grow quickly”, - Ashot Gndoyan the director of “Sevan National Park” in his conversation with Aysor.am.

He informed that till now there have been cases of fish stealing but in small amounts.

The increased control will last for 1-1,5 month before the completion of spawning. "Through the media we will call the people to stop fishing this season, the field will run special groups", - A. Gndoyan said.

He also informed that the works of cleaning the coastal areas of the lake continue. Soon will be clearly identified the boundary of the "National Park", and accordingly steps will be undertaken and in case of detection of illegal buildings in the area.
