Vladimir Putin says of backing Silvio Berlusconi

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin backed his Italian counterpart Silvio Berlusconi and wished him a speedy recovery.

“Russia’s Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said of his backing Silvio Berlusconi in connection with the Sunday attack and wished him a speedy recovery,” the Kremlin’s spokesperson said.

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was rushed to hospital covered in blood with a broken nose and teeth after a man with mental problems hurled a statuette at him at the end of a rally Sunday. According to reports, Silvio Berlusconi has spended night in hospital, and will stay there until Tuesday.
