Hungary’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan robbed of mobile phone
Hungary’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan was robbed in capital’s Icheri Shekher District last night, 1NewsAz agency reports.
According to police, the official was robbed of his mobile by a young man who had asked him for a phone to call somewhere. As soon as the ambassador gave him a phone, the robber disappeared.
It’s worth mentioning that there were other cases of crime against foreign officials and diplomats in Azerbaijan. On December 21 2009 a robbery happened at the Administrative office of the Brazil Embassy in Azerbaijan, in Narinamovsky District of Baku.
It was reported that 3 thousand mantas, or nearly $ 2400, were stolen from the office of ambassador’s administrative assistant Mushfig Javadov.
