Georgia: case on demolition of the Memorial of Glory in Kutaisi
In charges with violation of the standards of safety at exposition of the Memorial of Glory in Kutaisi, Georgia’s city court has sentenced directors of the ‘Gruzvzryvprom’ company Avtandil Darsavelidze to 4 years, and Elguja Gadabadze to 3,5 years in prison.
The Memorial of Glory in Kutaisi was blown by Georgian government’s decision on December 19 2009. The blast killed two people – a mother and 8-year-old child. Several people were wounded.
