Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin host the Oscar 2010

The 82nd annual Academy Awards, best known as Oscar, took place Sunday night in Los Angeles, hosted by Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin.

Katheryn Bigelow became the first female director to win an Oscar for Best Director for The Hurt Locker, which then went on to win Best Picture.

Sandra Bullock was awarded as the best Actress ("The Blind Side"). Christoph Waltz got the victory on the hono of the Best Supporting male artist Oscar in favor of his character as a cruel Nazi official in “Inglourious Basterds.”
