Sex.Com to be auctioned
One of the most valuable domain names on the Internet, sex.com web-site, is due to be put up for auction on March 18.
The site's previous owners, Escom LLC, were unable to repay a loan from one of the investors that backed their $14million purchase of the domain in 2006.
The domain is expected to be auctioned with starting price of $1 million.
The former owner who sold the domain name to Escom in 2006 is none other than Gary Kremen, founder of Match.com. He registered a domain for the sex.com in 1994.
