Venezuela to sell 80,000 barrels of oil a day to Belarus

Venezuela will start selling 80,000 barrels of oil a day to Belarus, county’s President Hugo Chavez announced Monday after meeting with Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko in Caracas.

Chavez said the agreement between Venezuela and Belarus is an important step in strengthening bilateral ties.

Financial details of the plan are not immediately available, as for terms for the agreement to come in force Chavez said it will be signed "in the coming hours."
