Hillary Clinton, Sergei Lavrov to hold meeting in Moscow
Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is reported to hold a bilateral meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Thursday in Moscow.
Hillary Rodham Clinton arrived in Moscow early this morning, for a two-day visit, and is expected to discuss negotiations on a replacement for the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, and will possible talk about new sanctions against Iran.
Sergei Lavrov said that the meeting’s agenda includes all issues related to Russia-US relations. “We will discuss overall situation and look if there is a necessity for making some additional efforts to move certain practical issues towards resolution,” said Russian Foreign Minister and added that the current level of relations between the two countries is high enough, providing lasting contacts between countries’ administrations.
