Armenia’s President Sargsyan to visit Syria
At the invitation of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan and his wife, county’s First Lady Mrs. Rita Sargsyan will pay a visit to Damascus on March 22-24.
Armenian delegation to Syria will include Ministers for Foreign Affairs, of Diaspora, Culture, and Agriculture.
Armenian and Syrian Presidents are expected to hold a tête-à-tête, followed by expanded talks. President Sargsyan is reported to meet with National Assembly Chairman and Syrian Prime Minister.
Within the framework of the visit, Serzh Sargsyan will speak on Armenia-Syria relations at the University of Damascus, pay a visit to Aleppo and Deir-Zor, and will meet with representatives of Armenian Community of the country.
Under Mrs. Sargsyan and Syrian First Lady’s patronage, a Spartacus Ballet by Aram Khachaturian will be performed at the Damascus Opera House.
