Gorbachev spends 1 million rubles on granddaughter’s wedding

Anastasia Virganskaya, granddaughter of the last-sitting Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev, got married in Moscow last weekend, Russian media outlets reported.

23 year-old Virganskaya married a 24 year-old postgraduate student at the Russian Academy of Public Administration.

The wedding ceremony was secretly held at a Moscow restaurant. Invited here were only relatives and close friends. According to reports, wedding’s cost was 1 million rubles. Journalists, who watched guests and new-weds only from outside, said saw two cars of flowers, brought out from the restaurant.
