Baku, Ankara try to destroy Armenia, says Commandos

The statement made by presidents of US, Russia and France in relation to the issue of Karabakh can affect the process of settlement to the conflict, told media veteran of the Karabakh war Commandos, Major General, Arkady Ter-Tadevosian.

“The statement contains unclear formulation of the self-government; however, it clearly contains claim to surrender territories to Azerbaijan. This plan’s realization will come as a tragedy to our statehood,” said Commandos. He added that such kind of statements reinforce anti-Armenian waves of Azerbaijan.

He pointed that Baku and Ankara are trying to reach their strategic goal – to destroy Armenia within 20 years. On their way to this plan “they use all means,” he said. “This is not a pan-Turkic campaign, but this is a clear goal of Azerbaijan,” added Commandos.
