Day of Railway Workers at Children’s Railway park

An event dated to the Day of Railway Workers will be held at Yerevan Children’s Railway park tomorrow. It was organized by the South Caucasian Railways company, company press office reported.

The celebration will be attended by high-ranking officials. It will start at 07:00 pm.

Note that before the Soviet period the day was marked on June 25.

The first Day of Railway Workers was marked in 1896 in Russia and was dedicated to Tsar Nicholas I of Russia, since under the tsar the first railway was laid in the country. Initially the day was timed to tsar’s birthday.
