What is the reason for potato price growth?
Potato price growth has no links to monopolies, and comes as a result of market relations, said Armenian lawmaker, Lernik Alexanian.
He said that there was surplus of potatoes in Armenia last year, but this year its production slightly declined. Lernik Alexanian also said that in Armenia there are not potato production monopolies, so growth in prices can’t be caused by this.
The lawmaker also said that he doesn’t rule out that potato price growth can be caused by large scope of export.
