Georgia imposes duties on goods transit
Georgian government passed a resolution on setting GEL 200 duties on goods transit through its territory, trans-port-com.ua reported citing the Georgian Ministry of Finance.
The GEL 200 fine extends to all means of transport except microbuses that carry goods through Georgia’s territory under customs control. The payments are done at Georgian banks.
“Goods transportation is duty free if goods are carried from sea port to customs zone at the distance of 10 km or in the opposite direction,” Georgian Ministry of Finance reported.
