“The NKR peaceful settlement can have only one solution”

Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan sent a congratulatory address in connection with the Day of the Artsakh Republic.

“Dear compatriots,
I congratulate you on the Nagorno Karabakh's Independence Day.

The independence of Artsakh is one of the brilliant pages of Armenian history and is the greatest achievement of our nation. We are deeply aware of the price of independence, for which thousands of Armenians paid their lives. Eternal glory to their immortal memory!

The political freedom formed by the struggle of all our people is a reality today. Moreover, the Nagorno-Karabakh with its solid state structure and the defense army is serious factor in the region. The internal stability of Artsakh, united and resolute position of the Armenians of Artsakh, comprehensive development of the region cause no suspicions about its free and prosperous future to a realistic person. We move forward with Armenia, Artsakh and Diaspora Tripartite Alliance, faithful to our historical choice.

Peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh comflict may have only one solution and that is the internationally recognized independence of Artsakh. As for the of solution of the issue through the military means, dear people of Artsakh, we have already passed that way together with you, and everybody can see the results of that version. Due to your every day creative work and iron shield of protection prove over and over again that you piously keep the memory and the advice of our martyrs.

Once again I congratulate all of us on this glorious day. I wish you peace, prosperity and new victories, and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic I wish strength and progress, " the president’s congratulatory address reads, reported the President’s press office.
