Aliyev to Medvedev: We have much to discuss
“Your visit will be very important for the further development of our ties, especially since we have much to discuss,” Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at the start of talks with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev, RIA Novosti reported.
“We have a very broad agenda,” Aliyev said.
Aliyev described Russian-Azerbaijani relations as “sincere, neighborly and the relations of strategic partners.” Dmitriy Medvedev agreed.
“I hope we will be able to discuss current issues in our bilateral relations, the regional agenda, international issues and sign important documents,” he said.
The Azerbaijani President believes that Medvedev’s visit to Baku will contribute to development of Azerbaijan-Russia relations.
