M. Minasyan: “No new protocols”

Armenia is not going to fill water on Turkey's propaganda mill, today stated the member of the Republican Party Mkrtich Minasyan on the conference speaking on expected event on September 19, in Aghtamar.

"The church will be opened only in case if the anointed cross will be placed on the cupola, and if there is no cross, then it cannot be called a church," he said.

The speaker welcomed decision of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin of not sending the Armenian clergymen on the liturgy, saying that no ceremony can be held in a church which does not have a cross as it contradicts to the church rules.

"Our steps are to show the world that there are truths that should be adopted, and it is not correct to prove that you are a fully democratic state by half-steps and half truths ," said M. Minasyan, and added that he excludes the participation of governmental structures to that ceremony

Commenting on a statement of a Turkish expert who was in Yerevan a few days ago saying that there are secret negotiations held in Turkey with the Armenians to resume the relations. M. Minassian noticed that Armenia will not hold any talks if the Turkish parliament does not ratify the signed protocols.

"We have suspended the ratification process. The ball is in the Turkish field," he stressed. M. Minasyan excluded also the fact that the Armenian side can to participate in any secret negotiations, which will result in forming new Protocols. "There can be no new protocols", assured the member of the Republican Party.
