Around 25 Iraqi-Armenian families received a source of income
In Darakert village of Ararat region took place the official opening of the cattle ranch and the milk production station established for the Iraqi – Armenian refugees.
The cattle ranch and the milk production station has been established by the “Save the children” organization in the frameworks of the US state department inhabitants, a program financed by the refugees and migration agency.
The head of the Armenian office of the Save the Children organization Irina Saghoyan in her speech mentioned that the firm and the milk production station will give an opportunity to around 25 Iraqi-Armenian families, who have become the stakeholders of the firm, to get an income and as a property to have 1-3 cows.
“The families of the refugees of Iraq have had a rather big input in this business. The Business allowed creating 9 workplaces. We hope that the number of the workplaces will grow,” stressed Irina Saghoyan.
The former cattle house has been repaired, 24 cows have been bought and 25 calves, they have been taken for milking, as well as have been bought equipments for checking and for freezing. The employees had good news. There was a newly born calf in the cattle house already.
