Erdoghan: The Turkish nation is offended by Europe

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in an interview given to a number of news agencies has mentioned about Turkey’s great wish to become a part of united Europe, and how disappointed it is of waiting for so long time, the Zman.com informs.

“For 50 years Turkey has been waiting. We have completely become a European country inside, but Europe does not want us. I do not know why? Turkey is the only country towards which Europe’s discrimination is completely incomprehensible. I know which the countries that block Turkey's access to the European Union are, but I do not want to name them now, "he said.

“However our people are very disappointed with waiting for a long time,” Erdogan continued. “I want to state clearly, the Turkish people are offended with Europe, and Europe should check our patience to see how long we agree to tolerate this insult. And if Turkey stops waiting and leaves Europe, it will lead to very unpredictable consequences.”

It should be noted that Turkish President Abdullah Gul made a speech in the same spirit in London yesterday, claiming that Europe is dying, and only Turkey's access could save him.
