Yerevan hosts Foreign Direct Investment Forum
First-ever Foreign Direct Investment Forum kicked off today in Yerevan. The forum is organized by the Armenian Development Agency (ADA) in cooperation with the Armenian affiliates of the EKORIS company (Netherlands) and Management Mix company (Cyprus). The forum is sponsored by ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank, Yerevan Brandy Company and Renco.
The forum hosts Minister of Economy Nerses Yeritsyan, foreign investors, Armenian businessmen, officials in charge of economic policy.
The forum is expected to adopt proposals to the government, National Assembly, ADA, donor organizations, financial structures aiming to improve investment environment and promote foreign direct investments in Armenia.
Note that foreign direct investments in Armenia amounted to USD 732.1m in 2009 and USD 1.1bn in 2008.
