Yerevan Mayor speaking on demonstrations
“There are places in all countries of the world where no demonstrations are allowed to be held,” answering to the question why no permit was given to the ANC to hold meetings at the Liberty square mentioned Yerevan Mayor Karen Karapetyan on the press conference dedicated to the 100th day of his taking the office.
"It is not true that we forbid the ANC but allow the people’s party. If we do not allow it means we do not allow anyone."
K. Karapetyan stressed that the Matenadaran is far from the Liberty Square for 500 to 700 meters:
“They say that the freedom of speech is violated, here what I answer, I do not agree with that statement,” the Mayor of Yerevan concluded.
