Earthquake near formerly Armenian Erzurum Province
An earthquake of magnitude 4.1 has struck a highly populated area in the formerly Armenian Erzurum Province in eastern Turkey.
Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported citing the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) that there have been no reports of damage, the epicenter was at 22km depth.
The official site of the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations writes about Erzrum noting that it previously was an Armenian province.
