Draft List of Activities for 2012-2013 EU-Armenia cooperation

On 31 January 2012 Mr. Artur Baghdasaryan, the Head of the Interagency Commission, coordinating cooperation between Armenian state bodies with the European structure, presented a Draft List of Activities for 2012-2013 in the area of EU-Armenia cooperation.

A. Baghdasaryan mentioned that the workshop brought together members of the Interagency Commission, Armenian state bodies and European structures, as well as representatives of EU Member States Embassies and international organizations; it includes 160 actions in 6 directions.

Mr. Artur Baghdasaryan highlighted joint EU-Armenia efforts on implementation of the List of Actions for 2009-2011 and was optimistic about the progress of bilateral relations. Ambassador Traian Hristea, the Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, affirmed EU support to reforms in Armenia and welcomed the initiative of the government to move further in their reform agenda.

Antti Hartikainen, Team Leader of the EU Advisory Group, presented an assessment of the Draft List of Activities for 2012-2013.

Mr. Eduard Sharmazanov, Deputy Chairman of National Assembly, Mr. Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Garegin Melkonyan, Deputy Minister of Economy and Mr. Artur Osikyan, Deputy Chief of Police and others were present. They delivered speeches.
