Katherine Jane Leach meets with Armenian Ombudsman

Attaching importance to the role of the Ombudsman in human rights protection in our country and in the election processes the newly appointed UK Ambassador to Armenia Katherine Jane Leach has had a meeting with Armenian Ombudsman Karen Andreasyan.

The Ombudsman’s press office said the sides discussed issues concerning the promotion and protection of human rights as well as the upcoming parliamentary elections as well as involvement of Ombudsman’s Office in electoral processes.

At the end of the meeting the two have outlined cooperation programs and have greed to discuss them later.
