Early diagnosis is important to prevent cancer
Khachanush Hakobyan, the head of the Armenian – American health center and head of the radiology department Ani Hakobian stressed in the press conference that in recent years the breast cancer is being widely spread. However they also explained that due to the new technologies the disease can be revealed in its early stage.
“It is possible to prevent the disease in its early stage if it is diagnosed on time,” Kh. Hakobyan reported.
Though the disease is less common to appear with 25 years old girls, it doesn’t mean they have nothing to worry about.
Kh. Hakobian is sure that regardless the age all the women should be examined once a year.
A. Hakobyan mentioned that with 15% of the patients cancer is inherited, it passes from mother to daughter usually. Very seldom the disease appears with the male.
“If such cases have been registered in any family the women of that family should be examined twice a year,” A. Hakobyan noted.
The men seldom get breast cancer they appear mainly after 60 years but, however, have rather aggressive nature.
