US to enlarge territories of its embassy in Moscow
The US plans to enlarge territories of its embassy in Moscow by building additional seven-stored apartment.
The seven-story building will house consular and visa departments to meet the growing demand from Russians wishing to visit the United States for business, tourism or education purposes.
The building will also accommodate the embassy’s civil services catering to U.S. tourists and expats living, studying or working in Russia.
Agencies promoting cooperation with the Russian government, including the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and foreign trade missions will be taken up the upper floors.
“One of the key achievements of the project implemented with UNDP/GEF support is the inclusion and support of extra-curricular environmental education as a strategic approach. This was a direct result of the series of roundtables jointly organized with EEN members and policymakers,” adds Sahakyan.
