Representatives of Syrian opposition to arrive in Moscow
UN-Arab League joint envoy on Syria Kofi Annan will visit Moscow later this week, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said Thursday.
Bogdanov, who is also Russia's special envoy to the Middle East, revealed that Annan may also visit China and some other countries soon.
Russia, a top ally of Syria, has shielded its government from international sanctions over its yearlong crackdown of an uprising. But Russia also has strongly supported Annan's proposal regarding the crisis.
