Iran hosts 2nd round of Majlis elections
Iran is hosting today the second round of Majlis (Parliament) elections, Iranian news agency IRIB said.
Iran’s Interior Ministry said 15 thousand polling stations are receiving the voters; in more than 1500 polling stations the ballots were cast electronically.
The second round target vacant 65 seats.
The first round of Iranian parliamentary elections was held on March 2.
Following the reports in the media about corruption in the Chief in Military Inspection of the Ministry of Defense, the management of the Ministry conducted an investigation and found serious violations in the actions of the Inspection, contact.az reported.
The main Kurdish militia in Rojava is the Democratic Union Party (PYD), an offshoot of the Turkish-Kurdish rebel movement known as the PKK. According to news reports, the PKK has sent several hundred fighters from Turkey to Syria to help the PYD against the jihadists.
Eurotunnel - which manages and operates Channel Tunnel services - says migrant incursions are now "an almost nightly occurrence" - in addition to Tuesday night's incident, some 2,000 migrants had tried to get into the terminal on Monday night.
