French Senators complete three-day informative visit to Artsakh
On May 25 French Senators completed their three-day informative visit to Artsakh, the NKR parliamentary press service reports.
“During the visit Senators Philip Marini, Sophie Joissains and Bernard Fournier met with NKR political leaders and MPs, saw the historical and cultural sights of Artsakh, attended cultural programs, which, according to them, were rather useful and interesting and helped them get acquainted with the country.
At the end of their visit, French senior guests headed to Shoushi, where they met with Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan. Then delegates left Artsakh for Armenia,” the statement reads.
“One of the key achievements of the project implemented with UNDP/GEF support is the inclusion and support of extra-curricular environmental education as a strategic approach. This was a direct result of the series of roundtables jointly organized with EEN members and policymakers,” adds Sahakyan.
