Edward Nalbandian leaves for Brussels
On July 23, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian will visit Belgium and attend the Eastern Partnership Foreign Ministers meeting to be held in Brussels, Foreign Ministry press service reported.
“The events held on April 24 on the Armenian Genocide centennial served the main purposes set: raising the international awareness of the Armenian Genocide, formation of public opinion and mobilization to condemn and fight against genocides as crimes against humanity,” the letter highlights.
At least 32 political activists and aid volunteers were killed in a municipal culture center in Şanlıurfa’s district of Suruç on July 20, right before they were due to cross the border to help with rebuilding the Syrian Kurdish town of Kobane.
Şeyh Abdurrahman Alagöz, a 20-year-old university student registered in Adıyaman province, has been identified as the suicide bomber who carried out the deadly July 20 attack at a municipal culture center in Şanlıurfa’s Suruç district, which killed at least 32 activists planning to cross the border to help rebuild the Syrian Kurdish town of Kobane.
