Fraud attempt in Ashtarak

Paros project employees attempted to extort money from beneficiaries in Ashtarak town, Hraparak reports.

Postal workers told beneficiaries that they are due to pay AMD 5,000 in property taxes. But yesterday they phoned citizens who paid AMD 5,000 to say that they can come and take their money back, the paper says.

According to the paper’s information, Paros and post office chiefs and the person who organized the plot to extort money from Paros beneficiaries were summoned to the police station of Ashtarak on Friday. The fraud was exposed, the paper writes.
