Statue of former prefect to be installed in Nor Nork district
A statue of late David Petrosyan, former head of Yerevan’s Nor Nork administrative district, the son of former MP Rafik Petrosyan, will reportedly be erected in Nor Nork on the initiative of David Petrosyan’s friends, Hraparak daily has revealed.
Mayor’s Office of Yerevan said it was not aware of the project, the paper writes.
However, Late David Petrosyan’s father Rafik Petrosyan confirmed the report. The construction project was initiated by Nor Nork district administration two years ago, he told the paper. Construction of the statue is underway, he said and added that the statue may have been installed before David Petrosyan’s birthday on September 21.
