Michel Legrand’s 80th birthday concert in Yerevan

Yerevan 6th International Music Festival will begin on September 10, according to the website of Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra.

As usual, the festival will present symphony and chamber concerts and master classes for young Armenian musicians.

The concerts will feature Borodin Quartet, Michel Legrand, Simon Trpceski, Andreas Froelich, Diemut Poppen as well as world-class Armenian musicians, such as Vahan Mardirossian and Suren Bagratuni.

The festival will be closed on October 20. Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra and City Lights Entertainment (London) will give a joint concert in honor of French composer, arranger and pianist Michel Legrand on his 80th birthday.
