Germany heading UN Security Council

France handed the rotating presidency of the UN Security Council to Germany.

One month Germany will chair the sessions of that international organization and will decide the agenda.

German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle has mentioned that has vowed to use the presidency to take a tough stance on Syria's Assad.
