«I’m against»: Government should express its clear position on law
“I am against’ civil initiative will start discussions about the Law on Accumulative Pensions with the Armenian government only if the atmosphere of distrust is eliminated, initiative member David Manukian told the newly appointed Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamian who met with demonstrators outside the presidential residence in the evening. The prime minister said he is aware of all the problems and prepared for a constructive dialog.
D. Manukian demanded that tomorrow the government should express its clear position on the compulsory accumulative pension system.
“I became the country’s prime minister only three days ago, you should understand this,” Hovik Abrahamian said, promising to do everything to eliminate the distrust.
The protesters chanted “We are the masters of our country!” and “I am against” as the prime minister left.
Then the members of ‘I am against’ civil initiative marched to Liberty Square of Yerevan.
