Rustamian: Coalition issue not closed yet
Entering the ruling coalition is not an end in itself for ARF-Dashaktsutyun Party, the head of ARFD parliamentary faction Armen Rustamian told reporters today.
“We declare now that we remain an opposition force and continue to work on the implementation of 7 clauses and our relations with the government will be conditioned by adoption of those seven clauses,” he stated.
According to Rustamian, ARFD is ready to assume responsibility if those seven clauses are accepted.
“The authorities say they will address 7 clauses of ARFD, but we don’t know whether these clauses will be accepted fully or partly. If our demands are accepted fully, we are ready to assume responsibility right now,” Rustamian declared.
In his words, the coalition issue is not closed yet because Serzh Sargsyan promised to examine thoroughly the seven clauses submitted by ARFD. If they are included in the government program, ARFD will later reconsider its decision not to enter the coalition.
