U.S. Congressman: Ronald Reagan recognized Armenian Genocide
The U.S. President Reagan recognized the Armenian Genocide. This fact is mentioned in U.S. textbooks and we remind our pupils about the Armenian Genocide, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives Ed Royce told reporters today during a visit to the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex.
According to him, they came to Armenia to understand what they can do to establish closer trade and investment relations with Armenia, also by efforts of Armenian Americans, and to try to intensify mutual visits.
Another member of the delegation of U.S. Congressmen, Eliot Lance Engel said that Turkey must recognize the Armenian Genocide. “We are here to express our support for the Armenian people. We cannot deny this fact,” he stated.
