Azerbaijani side fires on Chinari village in Armenia’s Tavush province
Yesterday Azerbaijan opened gunfire on the border village of Chinari in Tavush province of Armenia. Shots were fired mainly from large caliber guns.
“The shooting started at 9:30 pm and lasted until 2 am. Gunfire did not stop even for a moment,” Chinari village administrator Samvel Saghoyan told Aysor.am.
In his words, shots stopped only after the Armenian side returned the fire.
“Houses were damaged and windows shattered. A bullet hit a refrigerator. Dishes were broken,” he said.
A few shots were also heard this morning, Saghoyan said.
