Abrahamyan: No road to a village was blocked during PM’s trip
Director of the Information and Analytical Center of the Armenian governmental staff Tigran Abrahamyan refuted media reports that villagers blocked the road of Armenian prime minister during his yesterday’s visit to Shirak province communities.
“These reports have nothing to do with reality. No road was blocked in any village. Why block a road if the prime minister came to familiarize himself with the existing problems on the spot? The prime minister initially planned to travel to the fields hit by hail so it is illogical to speak about blocked roads,” T. Abrahamyan told Aysor.am.
According to him, special groups of Agriculture Ministry and the Shirak regional administration visited the area immediately after the hailstorm.
“The prime minister instructed responsible officials to assess the damage as quickly as possible and then the issue of assistance to affected farmers will be discussed, T. Abrahamyan said.
He also touched upon the forthcoming visit of Armenian prime minister to Sochi.
“It is the first Russian visit of Hovik Abrahamyan in his capacity as Armenian prime minister, and the visit should be viewed in this context. The press office of the government will release details of meetings in Russia after the talks,’ Tigran Abrahamyan said.
The Armenian prime minister told journalists yesterday that he is scheduled to meet Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in Sochi on July 11.
