Prime minister unhappy with Armenia’s ranking in HDI
Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan said at the government session today that Armenia ranks 87th in the Human Development Index (HDI) of the UN Development Program, i.e. the country’s position remains the same.
According to the prime minister, the problem lies in the educational system. H. Abrahamyan instructed the minister of education and science and the minister of labor and social affairs to follow the developments.
“If a correction coefficient is applied to the index, Armenia will surpass Georgia, Turkey and Iran,” the prime minister said.
