Nalbandyan: Hard to say what decision Turkey will take – RFE/RL
“It is hard to say today what decision Turkish President Erdogan will take concerning a visit to Yerevan on April 24, 2015 and when he will take it,” Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan told Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
“There is still enough time. You know, when the Armenian president invited the former Turkish president to the soccer match, the invitation was sent in May, while the answer came in September, in other words, 4 months passed and the answer came only two days before the soccer match. It is hard to say what decision they will take. The Turks should say what kind of decision it will be,” Nalbandyan said.
Asked whether it is possible that the agreement on Armenia’s entry into the Eurasian Economic Union will not be signed this year, Nalbandyan replied: “The process is underway. I think there will be relevant results soon”.
