ARFD has no intention to enter into ruling coalition and quit ‘four’
ARF-Dashnaktsutyun Party will not enter into a coalition with Armenia’s ruling party until the authorities implement ARFD’s proposals consisting of 7 points, the head of ARFD parliamentary faction Armen Rustamian said at a meeting with reporters today, in response to a question about the possibility of a new coalition involving ARFD, given the ARFD Party’s refusal to participate in the joint rally of four non-government parliamentary forces on October 10.
According to the deputy, among those seven proposals is the point about the transition to parliamentary government, which ARFD considers “an extremely important, key issue”.
As was reported earlier, the differences among representatives of the four parties over the constitutional reforms are the reason why ARFD refused to take part in the upcoming joint rally.
Rustamyan said there are serious differences between the authorities and ARFD so they will continue their activities as an opposition force as well as their cooperation in the format of the four non-government parties.
The group of four non-government parliamentary forces of Armenia includes ARFD, Armenian National Congress (HAK), Heritage Party and Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK).
