Safaryan: Four non-government parties have different ideas of the future
The four non-government parliamentary political forces of Armenia have different ideas of further developments in the country, Director of Armenian Institute of International Security Problems, political scientist Stepan Safaryan said at a press conference today.
“For example, Armenian National Congress (HAK) and Heritage Parties do not rule out the possibility of a revolution from below, i.e. with the participation of broad masses of population, while Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) is mostly in favor of a smooth change of power through elections in 2017-2018,” Safaryan noted.
In his words, HAK considers the constitutional reforms important in terms of solving the problem of power reproduction.
S. Safaryan did not rule out that in case of some options, BHK will endorse the constitutional reforms.
“I think BHK wants to repeat the experience of 2012. They will attempt to receive a majority of votes by all available means and thus get the right to form a government,” the political scientist said.
The four non-government parliamentary forces of Armenia include ARF-Dashnaktsutyun, HAK, Heritage and BHK Parties.
