Melkumyan: Law on turnover tax is obsolete instrument
No conditions are created for reproduction of the people in the country. We set a goal before the new government: to restore confidence in the government and ensure economic growth. The Law on Turnover Tax is an obsolete instrument that I consider senseless,” the deputy of Prosperous Armenia (BHK) faction Mikael Melkumyan said today in the National Assembly.
In his words, political forces intend to hold a special sitting of the parliament. They propose applying laws on a voluntary basis.
“We understand that problems related to various documents may arise. The latest achievements are that small business shall not go to a tax inspector, but employees of the lower link will be sent to SMEs. It will lead to new profiteering. Why not stand up and say that we do not want dividends and so free representatives of SMEs from everyday stress?” the deputy said.
