Nalbandyan: Armenia prepared to cooperate with EU in all possible formats
The European Union continues to be an important partner for Armenia, with our relations involving numerous spheres, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan said today in the National Assembly in response to a question of Heritage opposition faction’s deputy Tevan Poghosyan concerning Armenia-EU relations against a backdrop of Armenia’s entry into the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).
Nalbandyan reminded those present about the achievements made thanks to Armenia-EU cooperation, in particular the agreements on visa facilitation and readmission that took effect on January 1, 2014.
“In the near future we will continue our cooperation and our work with the new leadership of the EU for the formation of a new legal basis of our relations,” the foreign minister said.
He reaffirmed that Armenia is prepared to continue cooperation with the EU in all possible formats and fields, and other integration processes will not become an obstacle.
