Armenian PM to attend memorial service for Seryozha Avetisyan
Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan will attend the memorial service for six-month-old Seryozha Avetisyan who was seriously wounded on January 12 by Valery Permyakov, a serviceman of the Russian military base, the correspondent of Aysor.am reports from Gyumri.
The memorial service starts at 6:00 pm on January 20 in the Surb Nshan Church of Gyumri. The funeral will be held at 1:00 pm tomorrow.
Six members of the Avetisyan family, including a two-year-old girl, were killed in Armenia’s northwestern city of Gyumri on January 12. The only survivor, six-month-old Seryozha Avetisyan, was hospitalized in critical condition with stab wounds. He died on January 19, despite all efforts to save him.
Valery Permyakov, a soldier of the Russian 102nd military base in Gyumri, was detained at the Armenian-Turkish border following the mass murder. He is being held at the military base. On January 14 he was charged under the Criminal Codes of Armenia and Russia.
